Short version: this site doesn’t collect anything about you that it doesn’t need, and today it needs almost nothing.

Who is responsible

Max in Rome is published by MCL23 (Belgium); postal address available on request. “Max” is a pen name. Questions about this page or your data: hello@maxinrome.com.

What this site does not do

It sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics. It has no newsletter signup yet. It has no comment or contact forms; contact is by email.

What happens when you load a page

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse; Cloudflare’s handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy. I don’t receive or keep server logs.

Some links to tickets, tours, hotels and transfers are affiliate links (see the disclosure). When you click one, you leave this site and the partner — Tiqets, GetYourGuide, Booking.com via Stay22, Welcome Pickups — may set cookies so that a later booking is attributed to this site. What they store and for how long is governed by their privacy policies, not mine. No booking details come back to me: I see counts and commissions, never names.

When you email me

If you write to hello@maxinrome.com, I keep the thread for as long as it’s useful to answer you and to maintain the page you wrote about. I don’t add you to any list, and I don’t share your address. Ask and I’ll delete the thread.

Your rights

If you’re in the EU/EEA or UK you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to complain to your data-protection authority. Given how little this site holds, the practical route is an email to hello@maxinrome.com.

Changes

This page has a “last updated” date at the top; I change it when something here changes, in particular when analytics or a newsletter are added.
